Our Mission

The mission and purpose of the Whitney High School Black Alumni Association is to empower Whitney High School Black alumni, students, parents, faculty and the community at large to form powerful associations through advocacy, representation, and mobilization that will create equitable educational opportunities and resources for the Black community as a collective whole.

Providing mentorship, advocacy, support, and networking opportunities are just a few strategies that this organization employs to create a cohesive partnership between alumni, current students, and prospective students. The WHS Black Alumni Association strives to ensure that Black students have adequate representation amongst the student population. We are also brought into conversations about equity and diversity, and have a strong voice in matters that pertain to the Whitney High School community.
